<p>My ESXi Whitebox is up and running! It&#8217;s running with 4x cpu&#8217;s, 8 GB memory, more than 2 TB storage (local, iSCSI and NFS) and 5x NIC&#8217;s. <p>I&#8217;ve based it on the Intel DQ45CB motherboard supporting 16 GB memory (Yes, I know the INTEL site only says 8 GB, but it says 16 GB on the box), a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 cpu, 8 GB Corsair XMS2 memory (I&#8217;ll upgrade to 16 GB when I win the Lottery) and a Samsung SpinPoint F3 1 TB hard drive for local storage (I have 2 TB additional storage in my Synology 407e (iSCSI, NFS and SMB)). The box will boot from a Corsair Flash Voyager Mini memory stick.</p>
